A day in the life of a third grader

Paisley screams and wakes me up. Get dressed on my schedule. Sometimes i have breakfast. Go to crazy and noisy school on the bus. Have a noisy whole day. come home. Have an afternoon snack. Stay home for awhile unless we have Art or ballet or gymnastics. Come home. just relax or have a friend over to play. Have family time, and supper or dinner. Then I ususally take a bath and then I ususally get to stay up until Paisley falls asleep! And do it all again! In summer i want to sleep in until at least 10 o clock! and then have breakfast, start my day, probably go outside and have a friend over and play in a pool, maybe go to brigham pool. I would jump on our trampoline or rest on it in the sun. I would probably then have dinner outside and family time then go to sleep at 10:00 p.m.

Looking back at 2009... I think I am getting dizzy! Did I just turn around and a whole year is gone? That explains my lack of attention to this blog, well, a good excuse?

Paisley is turning 2 1/2. She loves playing Barbies, watching Mickey mouse, and eating fruity snacks.

Avery has the best 1st grade teacher in the whole world! She is learning so much this year and loves it! She really enjoys gymnastics and art!

Breely loves writing, ballet, and any kind of music! She has tons of friends and is really liking 3rd grade.

I'm enjoying being a wife, mother, teacher, daughter, and all that other stuff in between keeps me quite busy, and I wouldn't ask for it any other way.

John is an awesome dad, takes the girls bowling and teaches them guitar. He is my best friend!

Avery: Mom, when you and Dad die, what happens to your money?

Me: You, Breely, and Paisley can share it!

Avery: Really!

Avery: But when you come back then you will be poor!

(I am laughing! And very pleased she is thinking about lessons she learned about the resurrection!)

Me: It's okay it will all work out!

Avery: Mom, when are you and Dad going to die?

(Not laughing now.... I am just concerned my little girl is a little too money hungry!)

Our Little Pumpkins

After hearing so much begging and pleading, I finally agreed to letting the girls carve thier pumpkins. It was a chilly night out in the garage, pumpkin seeds flying in every direction, but they did it (with a little carving help), and were very pleased with their accomplishment!

Paisley loves her baby dolls and pushing them around in their stroller. She really loves to be outside!

I am learning a lot from each of my daughters as I try to see the world through their eyes I realize there is a lot I am missing out on and I am learning it's often the simple things that are the best things!

A Little Piece of Heaven

This morning I experienced a little piece of heaven in a hospital room.... Jaci and Ladd's little baby boy Ike was born last night, and what a little cutie he is! He is so precious! I am so thankful I was able to get a little bit of time to get to visit them, and feel the sweet spirit that tiny baby boy has brought with him!

I am also so thankful for the time I have been able to spend visiting with my sweet sister Jo and her little Samuel. He is full of smiles and just so cute! We will be sad to see them go back home. (Hopefully the'll come back at Christmas! Does anyone know how to get cheap plane tickets?)

I am so lucky to have such sweet little nephews and neice! I love them all!

Football F.H.E.

To suprise our Daddy we celebrated the start of Football season and set up our living room like a football field to play F.H.E. football. It was more of a sock ball tossing contest while reading gospel standards, but still fun! The girls made football shaped chocolate chip cookies for the treat. Go BRONCOS!

I can't believe it! She is growing so fast! Paisley is our sweetheart! She loves to play chase and peek-a-boo, loves Otter pops and anything outside. She can say "mama" finally, and is getting her two top front teeth, ouch!

Spring Dance Recital

We had the best time this year learning dances for this recital. Well, it was a struggle for me, but we survived! It was fun to learn a new talent and especially make a lot of great new friends!

Breely got to be a cute cat to a song from the Aristocats "Everybody Wants to be a Cat" and Cinderella "A Lovely Night." Avery was Shirley Temple dancing to "Animal Crackers" and Annie's "The Sun Will Come Out Tomorrow." I danced to Sarah Mclauchlan's "Ordinary Miracle"- it was all really a miracle night for us!

Breely is the smart "Gabriella", and Avery is so the dramatic "Sharpae" just like in the movie High School Musical! They love watching it at Haliegh's house, you should see her bedroom, she is a HUGE fan!

Breely had a blast last weekend building this great snow fort and tunnel with help from John. She says it is her house with a bedroom, kitchen, and family room! Breely LOVES to play in the snow! Ever since she was old enough to walk she has wanted to build snowmen, and make snow angels. She is our angel that's for sure!

Last weekend I ran to rent some movies, when I came back the girls were no where to be seen, the house was silent! I then saw out the window these cute little bundles playing on the sled! They had climbed up into the top of the closet to get all their snowgear, and went out all by themselves, having lots of fun!
